
Getting Your Nissei ASB 150DP Back Up and Running
When we built our infrared lamps for the Nissei ASB 150DP and similar PET lines, we didn’t want to make some “generic” part that mostly works. That’s a nightmare for anyone actually running a floor. Instead, we focused on the stuff that actually matters: the electrical footprint and the heat output. We wanted something you could just slide in and forget about. The Heat Balance Here’s the thing about PET preforms: they’re picky. If the heat flux is off, you’re in trouble. Too low, and your cycle times start dragging, which kills your productivity. Too high? You’re scorching the plastic. We keep the wattage and voltage tolerances tight. Why? Because the last thing you want to do on a Monday morning is spend three hours recalibrating your oven timers just because you swapped a bulb. Built to Last (And Fit) We use high-purity quartz glass because these lamps go through a lot of thermal shock. To stop them from burning out like the cheap stuff, we fill the tubes with halogen gas. It keeps the filament healthy for longer. As for the fit, we use standard R7s or SK15 connectors. No rewiring. No “hacking” the manifold. It just slides into the socket and clicks. A Quick Word of Advice These shortwave lamps put out a massive amount of heat. It’s powerful stuff. But remember, a great lamp can’t fix a clogged fan. If your cooling airflow is blocked, the ambient heat will eat your lamp’s lifespan alive, no matter how well it’s built. Keep those fans clean.
